Been having a great time here in Brazil and haven’t found time to post – lets try and catch up :) Was also hoping to track down some photos from Tuesday’s concert, but that will have to wait.
So Tuesday evening was my first concert in Rio. I played at a theatre that is part of the Yacht Club, with a stage, lighting, etc. – very nice!
The Canadian Consul General of Rio was there, along with other members of the Canadian consulate, which really meant a lot to me. The theatre was packed and I felt good about my performance – was a little nervous having not had a chance to do much practicing for several days. But everything went well and I got a great response.
A nice presentation afterwards from the consul general, with gifts for myself and Harp Festival organizer Sergio da Costa e Silva. Again, I wish I had some photos from the event, and will post once I track some down :)
All in all, a great start to the festival!
