Solo Concerts

Josh Layne performs unforgettable concerts and recitals.  His unique blend of technical wizardry, musical insight, and comfortable on-stage commentary makes for an irresistible event.

Josh's programs are usually all classical, with music from many periods.  He plays a mix of music written originally for the harp (like Faure's Impromptu and Hindemith's Sonata) and transcriptions (such as Hans Trneck's arrangement of Smetana's orchestral work, The Moldau or Josh's own transcription of the Adagio from Rodrigo's guitar concerto).

Josh has a deep love and appreciation for classical music, and he shares that with his listeners.  "I love the way he dove into the music".  Other audience comments include:
"You changed the world for me"
"I had goosebumps"
"I’ll never forget it"
"Concert of a lifetime"
"As a classical pianist I've heard a lot of piano recitals, but I've never been so impressed by another instrument before!"
"I felt like I was just sitting in your living room, you were so comfortable on stage!"
"I was transported the whole time you were playing"
