10:00-11:30 Technique Bootcamp: a focus on some of the fundamentals of good technique - scales, chord shapes and progressions, and arpeggios. Plus posture, staying relaxed, and playing without pain.
15 Minutes break
11:45 - 12:45 The Harp as an Orchestra: a hands-on look at some of the various special sounds and effects that are possible on the harp. Glissandos, trills and tremolos, strumming, percussive effects, harmonics, and more.
12:45-13:30 lunch break - finger food provided
13:30-15:00 Learn a Piece - Forgotten Summer: we'll go over my composition Forgotten Summer, from a broad overview and suggestions on how to approach learning it to working on dynamics and phrasing as we look at the piece as a cohesive whole. Sheet music included.
10 Minutes break
15:10 - 15:40 Filming yourself, YouTube, and the 21st century harpist: I'll offer advice on filming and recording yourself, talk about what gear and programs I use, and answer your questions about creating content as a musician in the 21st century!
20 Minutes break
16:00 - 16:40 Concert - a special concert for attendees and their family and guests. Music I'm performing as part of my tour and perhaps a few suprises.
