Hey all, I still have a bunch of pictures and stuff to post from my European adventures, but I’ve been swamped with rehearsals, practicing, and teaching since I got back :)
I do want to let you know about a concert that’s happening tomorrow.
It’s a performance of Howard Goodall’s “Requiem of Eternal Light”, written to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the end of WWI. I’ll be accompanying the UVic Chamber singers in a version with just harp and piano+organ (same person playing both – he does an amazing job).
Had our first rehearsal in the hall yesterday – it’s sounding really good!
If you’re in Victoria and free tomorrow (Friday) at 12:30 you should come by the Phillip Young recital hall and listen!
And if you’re not in Victoria, UVic is supposedly livestreaming the concert: http://finearts.uvic.ca/music/events/live/ So if you’re at a computer at 12:30 pm PST, Friday, Nov. 6th tune in and listen :)
Cheers,
Josh
