Favourite photos of 2025

May brings the wonderful wild Camas flowers (and always makes me think of this video I did a few years ago). They’re beautiful and offer some great photo opportunities: May also brings wild roses… The rabbits are enjoying spring… Overall, a great month for photography!

By April it’s definitely spring in Victoria, lots of flowers and cherry blossoms (which I didn’t really capture this year) and lots of daylight. April ended up being a rather busy month for me, including a trip over to Vancouver to adjudicate a harp festival, but I still managed to get out to take photos

Continuing to post some of my favourite photos from this year. With March, daylight hours were starting to get a longer, making it easier to get outside! More signs of spring, a lunar eclipse, a close encounter with a bald eagle, and more…

February featured a brief snowfall (fairly rare in Victoria) plus signs of spring. Had a nice close encounter with an Anna’s Hummingbird (they tend to stay all year round). And wild rabbits! (More of them to come in the next couple of months).

Photography has become a real passion of mine and I try to get out and take photos whenever I have a moment (I love photography, and I also love the fact that it gives me a compelling reason to get outside in nature). I’m going to start posting some of my favourite photos I take
