Music video: Farewell to Stromness
Another recent music video, “Farewell to Stromness” by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, is part of the “Yellow Cake Revue” – a set of songs plus two piano interludes that Davies wrote to protest a proposed uranium mine on the Orkney islands in 1980. I, too, live on an island; Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

Two upcoming local concerts in Dec. – Victoria and Sidney
I’ll be performing a 40 minute lunch-time concert in Victoria 12:10-12:50pm on Wednesday, Dec. 11th. St. Mary’s Church on Elgin Road in Oak Bay. And a longer evening concert on Wednesday, Dec. 18th at 7pm at St. Andrew’s Church on 4th Street in Sidney, BC Both programs will include this classic :) See you there!
