I’m off to Europe next week, where I’ll spend some time in Zagreb, Croatia, before wandering through Europe. (I return to Victoria on October 19th). Some of the other countries I hope to visit are Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands.
I’ll be soaking up the culture and enjoying a chance to connect with harpists in Europe. (And due to the wonders of modern technology I’ll be able to continue to work with my students via Skype :) )
I’d also like to do as many concerts as possible! Would you like me to come do a concert where you live? From a small house concert to a larger event and/or a workshop or masterclass – send me an email and lets make it happen! (Note that I won’t have a harp with me, so I would need to borrow or rent one).
And of course I’d love to meet up with any Harp Tuesday viewers. Drop me an email if you live in any of the countries I mentioned (or even if you don’t!).
I’m super excited about the trip – stay tuned to my blog for pictures and more :)
Finally, here’s the program I’m working on:
Grandjany – Rhapsodie
Bach – Fugue No 4 from the Well-Tempered Clavier
Bach – Fugue from Violin Sonata No. 1
Walter-Kune – Fantaisie on themes from Eugene Onegin
Intermission
Mussorgsky – 3 movements from Pictures at an Exhibition
Josh Layne – Poem for solo harp (2012)
Smetana – The Moldau
